Unworn H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Centre Seconds Concept Vantablack 18K Rose Gold — Box & Papers, Under Warranty (Ref. 1200-0412)
The dial does not reflect. It does not shine. It does not carry a logo, a minute track, or a single applied index. It is a manufactured absence — and it is exactly the kind of watch H. Moser has spent the past decade making to argue that Swiss watchmaking still has room for a joke told with a straight face.
Available now at Black Tag Watches (Aventura, Florida), this unworn example — reference 1200-0412 — is cased in 18K rose gold, powered by the manufacture calibre HMC 200, and offered complete with its original H. Moser delivery dated October 2025 and remaining under Moser factory warranty.
What Is the H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Concept Vantablack?
The Moser Concept Philosophy: A Dial That Says Nothing
The unworn H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Centre Seconds Concept Vantablack is the rose-gold execution of one of the more quietly radical dress-watch dials in contemporary Swiss watchmaking. H. Moser & Cie was founded in 1828 in Le Locle by Heinrich Moser, went dormant in the twentieth century, and was resurrected in 2005 — now run by the Meylan family under MELB Holding, and among the more distinct voices in modern independent horology. Moser’s Concept line strips the dial to its bare mechanical essentials: no logo, no minute track, no applied indices, no “Swiss Made” text. It is an editorial gesture the maison has turned into brand identity over the past decade — and the Vantablack execution is its most extreme expression.
Vantablack: The Darkest Engineered Material on Earth
Executed here in Vantablack, the dial is coated in the darkest engineered material on Earth, absorbing 99.965% of visible light. The result is a watch that reads as a void with three floating hands. Only two brands in the history of watchmaking have produced true Vantablack watches; Moser is one of them, and it is the only maison producing Vantablack dials as a recurring reference across its collection. For collectors of independent haute horlogerie, that combination — the darkest material on Earth applied to a logo-less dial — is a genuinely singular proposition.
Dial & Case Design: Rose Gold, Depthless Vantablack
Case Proportions and Endeavour Restraint
The 40mm case is rendered in polished 18K rose gold and stands 11.2mm thick — proportions deliberately unaggressive, in the Endeavour Centre Seconds tradition of a wearable round Moser dress watch. The bezel is thin, the flanks polished, the lugs short and softly tapered. The case is a deliberately quiet frame: everything about its construction is designed to recede so the dial can carry the reference’s entire argument.
The Vantablack Dial and Its Optical Effect
The dial is the reference’s statement. Vantablack — developed by the British nanotechnology firm Surrey NanoSystems, and used elsewhere in space telescopes, infrared instruments, and defence applications — is a coating of vertically aligned carbon nanotubes that absorbs almost all visible light. Applied to a watch dial, the effect is depthless: the eye cannot locate where the dial begins or ends, and any object above it appears to hover in space. Slim rose-gold Moser leaf hands and a rose-gold central seconds hand are the only elements permitted above the surface. The dial carries no logo, no name, and no printed text of any kind — the fullest realisation of the Moser Concept philosophy.
Movement: Manufacture H. Moser Calibre HMC 200
An In-House Automatic with 72-Hour Reserve
Inside the Endeavour Concept Vantablack is the manufacture Moser calibre HMC 200 — an automatic Swiss-made movement of 27 jewels with a 72-hour power reserve. The HMC 200 is the base automatic architecture Moser uses across the Endeavour Centre Seconds line, developed by Moser’s in-house movement operation and finished to the maison’s standards: hand-bevelled bridges, polished sinks, and the maison’s signature engraved oscillating weight visible through the sapphire display caseback.
Manufacture Independence at Moser's Scale
As with all Moser-produced calibres, the movement carries the maison’s proprietary escapement system when required and its own regulating organs assembled in-house — an unusual level of manufacture independence for a house of Moser’s scale. As a horological argument for a rose-gold Vantablack Concept, the HMC 200 does exactly what a serious manufacture automatic should do in this reference: it disappears into the case and lets the dial carry the argument.

Condition, Provenance & Warranty
Unworn, Under Factory Warranty
Condition is unworn. The watch is offered with its original H. Moser & Cie presentation box, digital instructions download card, cleaning cloth, and warranty card dated October 2025 — and remains under Moser factory warranty as of this listing. For an unworn current-catalogue Moser Concept with active factory warranty and complete original delivery, this is the strongest possible provenance and after-sales-service position a pre-owned example can occupy. Vantablack is materially fragile — the coating can be scratched under close contact — so a dial in unworn condition is the only appropriate condition in which to acquire the reference.

Why Buy the H. Moser Endeavour Concept Vantablack?
Moser's Editorial Voice as a Collector's Argument
The Endeavour Concept Vantablack occupies a specific position in the contemporary independent haute-horlogerie market — recognised by collectors who follow Moser’s editorial voice as closely as its horology, and largely uncatalogued by buyers whose category discipline stops at the volume Genevan houses. That distinction is the point. Moser has spent much of the past decade producing watches that argue against the conventions the larger maisons take for granted — a mechanical Swiss Alp Watch that parodied the Apple Watch, a series that removed “Swiss Made” from its dials as a protest against the label’s dilution, watches made from Swiss cheese, and the entire logo-less Concept line. Vantablack is the material extension of that same argument, and the reference that most fully commits to it.
Current-Catalogue Access, Below Retail, Under Warranty
Against contemporary rose-gold independent haute-horlogerie retail — and against the current Moser catalogue on the Endeavour Concept Vantablack — this unworn example with active factory warranty offers direct current-catalogue access to one of modern independent watchmaking’s more distinct voices, at a level meaningfully below primary-market retail. Full-set unworn examples with active factory warranty are the correct configuration in which to acquire an editorially specific reference of this class, and they trade quietly against the independent-haute-horlogerie market rather than as commodity references. For the collector who understands what Moser is doing, that combination is straightforward.
