As the inaugural release in their freshly minted “Expérimentale” line — a collection dedicated to research, experimentation, and pushing the boundaries of haute horology — this watch represents both a celebration of Breguet’s storied past and a daring step into its future.

At the heart of Expérimentale 1 lies a groundbreaking mechanism: a constant-force magnetic escapement, the first of its kind in a wristwatch. Rather than relying on traditional mechanical contact, the movement uses magnetic interactions between dual escape wheels and a magnetized pallet lever — delivering impulses to the balance without friction and with remarkable consistency.

That’s paired with a 10 Hz tourbillon, meaning the regulating organ oscillates four times faster than many standard tourbillons — enhancing stability and precision with a guaranteed accuracy of +/- 1 second over a 24 hour period.
