Roger Dubuis Knights of the Round Table — Boutique Exclusive
The Roger Dubuis Knights of the Round Table Damascus Titanium is a masterpiece of horological art. Words can scarcely capture the complexity of its dial, adorned with twelve intricately sculpted knights. The craftsmanship is nothing short of extraordinary.
This is a timepiece designed for true connoisseurs of handcrafted exclusivity. Limited to just 28 pieces worldwide, this watch is a rare gem indeed.
Among its recent additions to the collection, this model stands out for its exceptional color combination and the fascinating materials used. As suggested by its name, the case is fashioned from Damascus Titanium—a material known for its corrosion resistance, non-magnetic properties, and lightweight nature. The bezel, crown, crown guards, and caseback are crafted from traditional titanium, adding a refined touch to its overall design.
The case measures 45 mm in diameter, making it best suited for those with a wrist circumference of at least 16.5 to 17 cm. The watch features a quick-release blue calfskin leather strap paired with a titanium deployant buckle. Highlighting the case is the Roger Dubuis Signature Triple Lug arrangement and a meticulously crafted crown made of titanium and blue Murano glass.
One of the most captivating aspects is the bezel, which includes a sapphire crystal ring that offers a side view of the knights. Every detail of this timepiece is nothing short of mesmerizing. But the true centerpiece is the dial. The twelve figures representing King Arthur and his knights are crafted from 18k rose gold. Each knight is individually cast and hand-finished by an artisan, a process that can take up to three days per figure. The three-dimensional surface features blue Murano glass and white porcelain, depicting an ice-blue lake, with individual pieces set to create a complex interplay.
Under the hood, the timepiece houses the caliber RD821, an automatic movement boasting a 48-hour power reserve. The caliber features 173 components and operates at a frequency of 4 Hz. All the components are hand-finished to meet the stringent criteria of the Geneva Seal.
With an MSRP of €370,000, this stunning timepiece is truly an accessory for the elite. I consider myself fortunate to see it up close.
