This Patek Philippe World Time, reference number 5131J-001 is one of the most elegant and beautiful world time pieces you could buy today. Reference 5131J-001 was first release to the market in mid 2000s and features a high polished 18k yellow gold case paired with a brown alligator leather strap. The case measures 40 mm in Dia with a thickness of 10.8 mm and from lug to lug, this 5131 is 49 mm.
Unlike the current World Time, reference 5230, this one features a Courtier-inspired world time mechanism and a hand made Cloisonné enamel dial over a solid gold base. The gold borders that creates the map are actually gold wires carefully bent by hand.
This timepiece uses Pateks caliber 240 HU which allows you to easily change the city by pressing on the pusher adjuster located at 10 O’clock. The 240 is an automatic movement with a beautiful off center 22k gold micro rotor with the Calatrava cross on the center. The movement is composed of 239 components which includes 33 jewels and it has a precision of -3 / plus 2 seconds per day.
