The Nomos Glashütte Autobahn Neomatik 41 Date Sports Gray is a timepiece that doesn’t try to imitate tradition – it reinterprets it. This automotive theme timepiece has a bold dial with contemporary color palette, and unmistakable Bauhaus DNA.
The Autobahn features a galvanized, rhodium plated dial that feels dynamic. Its sweeping arc of lume mimics the glow of highway lights at night, a subtle nod to the Autobahn that inspired the collection’s name. The orange color added to the hands adds a playful contrast, reinforcing Nomos’ reputation for blending seriousness with creativity. Under the small seconds hand, Nomos added a date display that presents three days at a glance. Overall it is a well balance design and the gray tone itself strikes a balance between versatility and individuality. It’s neutral enough for everyday wear yet distinctive enough to draw attention.
The mono block stainless steel case measures 41mm in diameter, offering a modern wrist presence without feeling oversized. Its slim profile ensures it slips easily under a cuff, making it as suitable for office wear as it is for weekend outings. And thanks to the textile strap, it is very comfortable for all day use. But if textile is not your thing, Nomos also offers this timepiece on a metal bracelet or rubber strap.
The case design is pure Nomos: clean lines, polished surfaces, and an absence of unnecessary embellishment.
Under the hood, is the in-house DUW 6101 automatic movement, part of their innovative neomatik series. This caliber features the brand’s proprietary swing system, 42 hours of power reserve and works at 3 hertz using 27 jewels. The movement is visible through the sapphire caseback, offering a glimpse of Glashütte finishing which features Rhodium-plated surfaces with Glashütte ribbing, NOMOS perlage, tempered (heated) blue screws and gold plated embossed text.
Despite being labeled a sport model, the Autobahn Neomatik 41 Date doesn’t conform to typical expectations. It’s not about rugged bulk or aggressive styling. Instead, it delivers a refined take on sportiness—lightweight, comfortable, and effortlessly stylish. This timepiece is for those who appreciate design as much as mechanics.
