Pilot’s Best Friend
The famous 1953 Breitling “Co-Pilot” aviation watch got a new life with its re-edition as the new Breitling Aviator 8 AVI 1953 Edition. The line was produced in a limited edition of 1953 pieces. Each piece will have engraving “One from 1953”.
The new model is equipped with a manual mechanical chronograph Caliber B09, certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute) as a chronometer. Movement operates at a frequency of 4 Hz and provides a power reserve of 70 hours. The classic 41.1 mm stainless steel case is traditionally equipped with a rotating bezel secured by three screws. The mounts are located in the same positions as in the original. The screen is protected by a domed crystal. Hands glow in the dark and move along the black dial with Arabic numerals. The color theme was carefully chosen from the original design. The model comes with a black calfskin strap with a yellow lining.
