Hublot Big Bang Meca-10 Ceramic Blue
One of my favorite Hublot is the Big Bang Meca-10 because of its in house movement that delivers 10 days of power reserve. This is Hublot’s caliber 1201. It’s truly a mechanical masterpiece with a lot of style that can be easily confused by a Richard Mille.
The manual movement is composed of 223 components which includes 24 jewels and 2 large mainspring barrels that keep this Hublot going for 10 days. The 1201 works at 3 Hertz and comes with a screw down crown.
Since this is a true sport’s timepiece, you can have this Hublot on while swimming thanks to the 100 meters of water resistant.
This Mega-10 has a case made of blue ceramic which measures 45 mm in diameter by 15.8 mm in thickness and 57.6 mm from lug to lug and comes paired with a blue with black rubber strap and titanium folding buckle.
The rubber straps can be easily remove without any tools thanks to Hublot’s quick release system. To remove, simply press on the titanium pusher on the top surface of the lug. It’s that easy!
Under the sapphire crystal is a skeleton dial that features a small seconds Sub dial at the 9 O’clock position and at the 6 O’clock position, is an exposed gear with laser cut Arabic numerals for tracking the 10 day power reserve. But if that’s not enough, there is also a low reserve indicator by the 3 O’clock position that displays a red color when the timepiece is down to 48 hours left of power reserve.
Its a very clever design with a ver impressive movement.
