Glashutte Original Senator Excellence Panorama Steel

This elegant timepiece was meticulous built by a watch maker that takes pride for producing sophisticated timepieces with most of the components mainly done by hand in-house. Since 1845, Glashutte Original has been creating sofisticated designs with very precise and reliable movements all Made in Germany.

This is the Senator Excellence Panorama Date Moon Phase. The timepiece is proof of the company’s high standards of craftsmanship and engineering. The case has been crafted with stainless steel with brushed finish and polished edges. The case is fairly flat with a fluted bezel design. The overall measurement of the case is 40 mm in diameter by 12.20 mm in thickness and 20 mm in between lugs.

The case comes paired with a black semi gloss Louisiana alligator strap with monotone stitching and folded edges. Keeping it secure to the wrist, is a stainless steel folding buckle which has been highly polished with satin finish on the clasp.

Under the sapphire crystal is a lacquered dial with fine silver graining that features Glashutte Original sophisticated moonphase display between 10 and 11 O’clock position with a silver moon and blue background all done by hand.

Then by the 4 O’clock position is Glashutte signature panorama date display with black Arabic numerals.

The silver dial has laser cut galvanic black roman numerals and indexes with railroad chapter ring and refined blue hour and minute hands with blue seconds hands that features a double G logo counterweight.

Under the hood Glashutte Original is using a 3/4 German silver plate for the in house movement caliber 36-04 which is based on caliber 36-01. This sophisticated automatic chronometer is adjusted to 6 positions and it beats at 4 hertz using 43 jewels. The caliber features quick set for the date, silicon hair spring and skeletonized rotor with a large double G symbol crafted in 21K gold.
