Rolex Gmt Master 2

The Rolex GMT Master 2 Oyster perpetual date, reference number 126711CHNR-0002. This color combo is best known as the root-beer. This combination was first introduced in 2018 and over the years the demand has been increasing to the point that now this model is as hard to get as the Pepsi or Batman models.

But unlike the Batman and Pepsi models, the root-beer comes in a two toned with an Oystersteel body with bidirectional Everose gold bezel and brown ceramic insert with rose gold deposit. The Oyster bracelet also carries the same characteristics with is Everose Rolestor.

The case measures 40 mm in DIA x 12 mm thick with a 20 mm space in between the lugs. Under the sapphire crystal, is a deep gloss black dial with large markers filled and rose gold hands.

You also get an additional hand for a second time zone…… but technically you can also use the bezel as a 3rd time zone by rotating it to adjust to the local time of your next destination.

Under the hood, Rolex is using an automatic movement, caliber 3285 based on caliber 3255. This certified chronometer works at 4hertz and delivers up to 70 hours of power reserve. The movement is antimagnetic and it also features Rolex optimized blue Parachrom hairspring which is 10 times more precise than a traditional hairspring. The movement has a -2 +2 sec/day precision and is adjusted in 5 positions. Water resistance for this GMT 2 is 100 meters.

Another neat feature of this Rolex, is the Oysterlock clasp with Easy link system that allow you to adjust the bracelet by minus or plus 5 mm.
